Our team has been analyzing recurring issues with our shared hosting environment for about a week now, and after full diagnosis we have identified the issues to be related to the Jetbackup service housed on this cPanel server. During the hours of 2AM - 5AM CT, it has been noted that upon completion of the execution of our incremental backup policies, the server becomes unresponsive and requires manual intervention.
To improve our service levels and restore our uptime, the technical team has opted to disable this account feature for the time being in favor of installing a new solution that will be installed at a later date. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT At this time, SHARED HOSTING BACKUPS are no longer available to you in your cPanel portal.
If you wish to perform daily backups of your website, we recommend you set up your own backup plugins for your site in the meantime. Our infrastructure still takes daily snapshots of our systems, so we still have redundancy and backup policies in place, we will just no longer be offering account-level user backup controls.
We recommend investigating the following plugins as alternatives for backing up your WordPress websites.
